- You need 1 litre of milk.
- You need 2 tbsp of clarified butter.
- Prepare 4 tbsp of chopped mixed dry fruit (cashews, almonds,pistachios).
- Prepare 1 cup of vermicelli.
- You need 1 tsp of cardamon powder.
- Prepare 3 of cloves.
- It's 1/2 cup of sugar.
- It's strands of Saffron.
- You need of Dried rose petals for garnish (optional).
Kesar Sevaiyaan Kheer instructions
- Heat clarified butter in a pan. Add cloves and fry them. Now add broken vermicelli (sevaiyaan).
- Stir continuously and roast on low-medium flame, until it turns golden brown..
- Pour 1 litre of milk in a pan stir occasionally and cook it on low flame. Let milk come to a boil now add sugar and mix well. Add saffron strands and mix well..
- Add Cardamom powder, chopped mixed dryfruit. Now the mixture will be thick and creamier and it will take around 25 minutes..
- Serve the Kheer warm or chilled in a serving bowl, garnish with dried rose petals, chopped dryfruit(almonds, cashewnuts, pistachios and raisins) etc.
